The Purpose of Code Enforcement

The purpose of Code Enforcement is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Oak Point by providing inspections and bringing about improvements to the community. The most common violations that are addressed by the Code Enforcement Department are:

  • Accumulation of litter, trash, debris, garbage and rubbish
  • High grass and vegetation
  • Illegal dumping
  • Junk and abandoned vehicles
  • Unlawful home occupations

Reporting a Potential Violation

To report a potential violation, please click on the Service Request button or contact City Hall at 972-294-2312 and be prepared to provide a specific location or address of the violation and a description of the violation. The accuracy of the property location and the description of the violation will enhance the City's ability to investigate your complaint.
